We offer a three week cycle menu, our food is freshly prepared on the premises every day as have our own kitchen; meals are available under the arrangements made by the County Council.
School Food Standards
Our school menus need to be balanced to meet the Government standards for school food. There are restrictions placed within the standards as to what can and cannot be served, and these include the number of times per week certain foods can be offered. Our menus offer a good quality cooked meal with ingredients sourced locally where possible and contain a range of dishes that will assist with developing your child’s eating habits/choices. Many children when sat with their peers are often more willing to try new foods so please help us to help you by talking positively about new foods when your child comes home from school and praise them for trying new things.
The menu has been created by taking the views of pupils, parents and carers into account through the Healthy Schools Working party.
We have occasions throughout the year when parents, carers and grandparents can come into school and have lunch with the children.
Children in the Reception, Year 1 and 2 classes receive a free school meal every day. Children in Years 3 – 6 can have a school dinner for £2.00 per day (please pay this on ParentMail in advance) or bring in a packed lunch from home.
Our Current menu for this Term is as follows:
Starting from Monday 4th November 2019, we will be going over to our Winter Menu. See Winter Menu below:
NB. Whilst every effort is made to adhere to our menus, there are on occasion circumstances beyond our control that may lead to a change to a menu item.
